Job overview

 The Kent and Medway Cancer Alliance is delighted to have been chosen as one of the phase 3 pilot sites for the Targeted Lung Health Checks programme. This programme will offer a lung health check and a subsequent low-dose CT scan if clinically indicated to eligible patients. The aim is to diagnose lung cancer at an early stage, improving treatment outcomes for patients. The TLHC programme will be offered to current and former smokers, aged between 55 and 74. 
 

Main duties of the job

The Programme Manager will be required to develop and deliver this whole system approach and oversee the delivery of this transformation project within West Kent.  You will proactively engage with a wide range of stakeholders to develop common principles and framework for the TLHC Programmes guided by the National Programme and National Protocol.  At the same time, you will work with local communities, health and care to design and deliver the programme.

The post holder will be responsible for the project management, operational management and mobilisation of the TLHC service, which will be centred at the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals.
