We have an excellent opportunity within the General & Specialist Medicine Care Group at The Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital, Margate.

We are looking for a person who has some previous experience of working in the specialty, but we also encourage applications from Senior Nurses or those from other health care environments.

Main duties of the job

To provide effective patient care whilst working as a member of the nursing team across East Kent Hospitals NHS Trust. To ensure the maintenance of high standards of patient care in response to service needs.

By working clinically as a member of the nursing team you will work in partnership with the Ward Manger to  provide clinical, professional and managerial leadership for a ward-based team of qualified and non-qualified  staff.  The post holder will be required to deputise in the absence of the Ward Manager and ensure a positive  patient experience through the delivery of high standards of patient care.  Leading clinical nursing practice within the clinical area.  Securing and assuring the highest standards of clinical care with the support of the Matron and Head of Nursing.  The effective management of clinical and non-clinical risk reporting to the Ward Manager within the Directorate Clinical Governance Framework.
