Job overview

Our small admin team is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and well organised individual with administration experience.  The role will be office based in Manston, Ramsgate.

Some of the tasks that may be asked of you will be:  word processing and creating basic documents, accurately inputting data, filing, scanning, photocopying, taking telephone messages, dealing with incoming post, ordering, supporting meetings and occasional reception cover may also be required.

Essential skills are: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and word.

Essential qualifications:  Maths & English Grade C or equivalent

Main duties of the job

The band 3 Administrator will be a flexible resource to support to inpatient and community rehabilitation service across East Kent. They will be responsible for the organisation of their work and may have front line contact with service users, carers, the general public or other external stakeholders, as well as internal colleagues.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to NVQ level 3 /RSA or equivalent
  • GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

Essential criteria
  • Minimum basic Excel setting up of spreadsheets and updating for reports
  • Preparation of documents to high quality using Word
  • Use of Outlook for updating of calendar and appointments
  • Prioritisation and organisation of work and ability to meet deadlines
Desirable criteria
  • Intermediate level Excel application of basic formulas and exception reporting

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Previous paid employment or administrative/office work for minimum of 2 years
