An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Medical Secretary within our Specialist Medicine Clinical Administration Unit at Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
You will have exceptional secretarial skills , and knowledge of all Microsoft packages. You should demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, be a team player, be self-motivated, able to prioritise a busy workload, work to deadlines and have a flexible approach to your duties.

Main duties of the job
You should be self-motivated with the ability to work in a busy and pressured environment. You should be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, along with a flexible approach to duties.
Knowledge and experience within the health sector would be beneficial but not essential.

MTW is a large acute hospital trust in the south-east of England.
We provide a full range of general hospital services and some aspects of specialist and complex care to around 600,000 people living in west Kent and East Sussex. We have a team of over 8,000 full and part-time staff. We also provide specialist cancer services to around 2 million people across Kent and East Sussex via the Kent Oncology Centre.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Good standard of general education (to GCSE/A level.) or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
- Secretarial and audio-wordprocessing qualification to at least RSA3/advanced level certificate
Experience/Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Previous secretarial experience
- Customer service/dealing with the public
Desirable criteria
- Medical terminology / Healthcare experience
- Knowledge of Allscripts / ERS

- Excellent computer skills (Word/Excel) /advanced key board skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills both verbal and written.
- Able to use initiative and work under pressure.
