Job overview

We are looking for a skilled Administrator to join our Community Epilepsy Service based in Whitstable and Tankerton Hospital. 

 

Main duties of the job

As a Band 3 Administrator you will support the multi-disciplinary team with all the admin needs of the service. Your role will be integral to the experience of our patients, getting them discharged from hospital and helping them get home to recover in the quickest time possible.

You'll need to be an efficient administrator, able to deal with conflicting priorities and incoming challenges. You'll need to be a competent user of Microsoft Office programmes and quick to pick up new systems. 

A good team player is a must, our work can be challenging at time, but it's also rewarding, you can see the difference you make!

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Level 3 qualification (e.g. 2 A/AS levels, NVQ level 3, BTEC diplomas, certificates and awards, international Baccalaureate diploma) or equivalent demonstrable experience
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Level 3 Business Administrator, Customer Service Specialist or Team Leader or Supervisor

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Administrative experience Experience of team working and versatility to take on a variety of tasks
Desirable criteria
  • NHS administrative experience Experience of handling confidential information Supervision of staff Experience of working with members of the public

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office packages e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Desirable criteria
  • Understanding of health and social care sector, including working knowledge of NHS structures, policies and processes
