Catering assistants provide an exceptional service to staff, patients and visitors within the hospital. Working in the hospital kitchen, they deliver great customer service and ensure hygiene and health and safety levels are up to standard within the kitchen. 

Previous customer service or food preparation experience may be an advantage, however no previous experience is essential. We will provide any relevant training for the role that is needed.

Main duties of the job

• Heavy cleaning & tidy upkeep of the food preparation and serving areas, as well as any equipment used
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards and apply food safety procedures
• Delivery of foods to hospital wards
• Working in a cold environment
