An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Division of Medicine & Urgent Care to join our established team of Advanced Clinical Practitioners, to lead and manage the development of the UTC model.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced ACP with proven skills and knowledge in emergency/acute care. You will be expected to practice autonomously at an advanced level in the delivery of high quality, safe and supportive care to patients.
We are looking for qualified Advanced Practitioners. A non-medical prescribing (NMP) qualification is essential however applicants who are currently undertaking this qualification will be considered.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Strategic Development and Leadership of ENP's and ACPs in UC, junior clinical staff, junior nursing staff.
Delivery of an approved advanced practice curriculum (national or local in absence) for trainee practitioners.
Contribute to trust wide strategies surrounding performance and improvement.
Contribute to work force planning and considerations around organisational systems affecting resilience and retention.
Oversight of budgets for advanced practice within the directorate
Develop robust clinical streams, alongside colleagues, aimed at safe patient care, experience and efficiency.
Provide senior clinical cover across the directorate at senior middle grade level depending of experience

Essential criteria
- Registered with the NMC/or other governing body
- Masters Degree
- Evidence of extensive expert professional /clinical knowledge in area supplemented by specialist clinical training and CPD
- Experience in advanced health assessment as an advanced practitioner or equivalent.
- Non-Medical Prescribing course (v300)
- ALS provider / Instructor
- Demonstrates evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.
- Recognised teaching qualification and proven ability to provide clinical education
- Completion of accredited advanced communication skills course.
- Able to demonstrate wide knowledge of health policy and application to critical care practice.
Desirable criteria
- PHD level education
- Evidence of involvement in leading and developing a team
- Evidence of proactive involvement in the supervision and development of members of the multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of working within C&YP ED, plus APLS or equivalent.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
