The Phlebotomy team is part of the Pathology Department.  The Phlebotomy service is managed by Lesley Corbitt.  There are 6 part time posts available, as part of an expansion of the team to meet the level of service required by the busy wards.

When bleeding patients on the wards phlebotomists tend to work in pairs so they can provide support for each other.  The current team  work very hard to service the wards at BVH.   The expansion includes  extra staff with an associated increase in the number of wards covered.

Our phlebotomists are rightly proud of their skills and will be happy to provide on the job training to enable you to acquire these skills too.
