Job overview
The post holder will support the EPRR Manager with the responsibility of ensuring the Trust is prepared to respond appropriately in the event of an incident or emergency either internally or externally and to help ensure that the Trust can meet its obligations as a category 1 responder under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, NHS Act 2006, the NHS Standard Contract and the requirements identified in the NHS Emergency Preparedness Resilience and Response Framework July 2022.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the EPRR Manager on behalf of the Trust with the responsibility, for supporting of preparing and planning supporting putting in place fully effective arrangements which will provide the appropriate responses to all known and emerging / developing EPRR risks for example:
• Business Continuity and Critical Incidents
• Major Incident, mass casualties’ preparations.
• CRBN / decontamination.
• Outbreak (infectious disease).
To maintain service delivery and provide business continuity across the trust
The post holder will work alongside the EPRR Manager and support with any necessary EPRR Training or Documentation relevant to the post.
Assist the EPRR manger in ensuring that all elements of the Trust meet the requirements for emergency planning, preparedness and response as required.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
