East Lancashire Child and Adolescent Service (ELCAS)
We are Looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking, passionate and motivated nurse/allied health professionals or Children and Young
People's Mental Health Practitioner to join our RAIS (Responsive Assessment and Intensive Support) within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service within East Lancashire.
The role is part of a service to provide timely response for a small but significant complex number of young people who may require a timely assessment and short-term intervention.
The service has been developed to meet the increasing number of young people presenting with complex needs who are seeking a rapid assessment on a paediatric ward, community or other place of safety.
You will be a dynamic and forward-thinking practitioner who is prepared to meet the challenges of a new element of our service, delivering the highest quality of care for the children and young people in Pennie Lancashire.
An ability to assess, formulate and intervene from a multi-theoretical perspective is a must as is the ability to work with young people and families from ethnically and culturally diverse backgrounds.
Significant experience in CYPMH or adult Mental health is essential whilst knowledge of IT systems would be advantageous. Supervision requirements are acknowledged.
Main duties of the job
As a RAIS Clinical Coordinator you will direct and oversee the day-to-day delivery of clinical services provided by the RAIS team. You will ensure that the Operational Leads are fully cognisant of significant day to day issues through effective and proactive agreed communication. You will contribute to the clinical management of the team’s caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence based/client centres principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions delivered both in our hospitals and in the community.
