Within the Emergency department we really value our staff, all staff play an important role in the day to day running of our clinical services making sure that patient care is at the forefront of all we do.
You will support the department to achieve Performance Targets, they will be responsible for ongoing staff training, supervision and support to activate, discharge, book appointments, code visits, manage patients, transport, respond to queries and ensure Flex is updated in real time.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Emergency Department is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated person, who is interested in the wellbeing of others, have excellent communication and customer service skills, able to prioritise their workload and have a mature, calm and flexible approach to work especially when under pressure.
You will be responsible for the day to day supervision of a team of receptionists, the co-ordination and provision of high quality reception services within the Emergency Department, maintaining accurate and confidential records, having due regard for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Excellent organisational skills, able to exercise initiative and consistently high standard of professionalism and integrity must be demonstrated at all times.
You will be expected to participate in the Emergency Department 4 hour daily wait audit.
In the event of a major incident you would be expected to attend at short notice possibly outside normal hours.
In addition excellent keyboard/ /PC skills and the use of Microsoft Office are required.

Essential criteria
- • Aware of the concept and application of confidentiality
- • Experience of staff management
- • Previous receptionist experience
- • Experience of Microsoft packages
Desirable criteria
- • Experience of LTHTR packages, including Harris Flex
