Job overview

We are offering an exciting opportunity to experienced and enthusiastic admin and clerical staff to support the Physical Health in Mental Health Service previously known the Electrocardiogram Service (ECG).

The post is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.  The post will require some flexibility over hours due to the needs of the service.

This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join a community based, Physical Health in Mental Health Service.  The team is currently expanding and covers the whole of the LSCFT footprint.  You will work along side the Clinical Treatment Team administration team and cross cover in times of a sickness and annual leae. 

You must be able to provide efficient administrative support and have excellent IT, keyboard and data inputting skills.  Experience of Microsoft Word & Excel is essential – training for in-house systems will be given.  You will also require strong interpersonal skills, be able to demonstrate initiative and the ability to organise your workload effectively.

The work is varied, interesting and demanding, and candidates need to be organised, have the ability to prioritise workload, flexible and reliable.  We are looking for people who possess the ability to meet the demands of the service, and also to be able to communicate with a wide range of people, including patients and health care professionals

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide a comprehensive administration and information service and coordinate their activities with other members of the administration team to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided.

The post holder will be aligned to a specific clinical team and is required to work flexibly in response to the needs of the service providing cover to other teams on various sites as directed by the Team Leader in liaison with Locality Admin Co-ordinator to ensure continuity of a quality service.

  • NVQ Level 3 in Customer Care or Business Administration – or equivalent experience

  • Previous experience as a Secretary/Administrator including diary management
