Job overview

Would you like to be part of a Risk and Company Secretary team which is innovative, forward-thinking and creates practical solutions to shape and evolve risk management maturity? 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for you to work as the Risk Administrator, based at our Head Office, Sceptre Point. 

Reporting directly to the Head of Risk providing a comprehensive and effective administrative service to support the smooth and efficient running of the Risk Team and providing administrative support to the Company Secretary Team.

You are a professional, motivated and enthusiastic people person with excellent interpersonal skills. You are highly organised and you take immense pride in your work. You have fantastic verbal and written communication skills and remain calm under pressure. You will possess very good IT skills and will be confident using MS applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for managing the Risk Management team email inbox and responding/referring to enquiries in a timely manner. You will provide diary support to the Risk and Company Secretary teams as required. You will be responsible for supporting the Head of Risk with the preparation and distribution of the monthly Risk Management Group meeting pack. You will support the Risk team with other administrative duties such as organising meetings, booking  venues, preparing agendas and supporting information and taking minutes.

Education/Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to minimum GCSE or equivalent grade C or above including Maths and English language
  • Evidence of active continued professional development and of acquiring new skills / knowledge in the last 3 years
  • Knowledge and experience of diary management

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Use of database packages – working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams
  • Excellent organisational skills including high levels of accuracy and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience / knowledge of administration of computer systems, Microsoft packages and databases
  • Experience of working with a risk management system
  • Experience of working in an NHS environment

  • Ability to manage a range of responsibilities simultaneously, giving priority to all dimensions of the role appropriately, and meeting deadlines. Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty remaining calm in times of change
