Job overview

If you are looking for an exciting new challenge Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) which is a Specialist Mental Health and Community NHS Foundation Trust, is the place for you.

We are currently looking to recruit a Finance Officer on a permanent basis. 

The post holder will be responsible for managing the finance element of the business support function, ensuring the timely processing of invoices as well as monitoring of budgets including capital and revenue spend, being the point of contact to liaise with the Trust’s Finance Department to ensure high quality services are being provided. 

The Finance Officer will ensure the systems implemented will be used to their full potential and utilised for financial data management and reporting. They will also provide assurance that national and local standards are in place and maintained as well as ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standard financial instructions.

Main duties of the job

The Finance Officer post is central in maintaining service income for the Trust and requires the processing, analysis and reporting of Estates & Facilities financial and operational performance data.  

To develop and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to determine and advise on budgets and forecasting, timescales and financial aspects of projects and schemes.

The post holder will ensure that all financial business is contracted and monitored in line with national and local SFI requirements.
