We are currently recruiting to a full -time Housekeeper for Lancashire Community Healthcare Hub Meadow Unit.
We are looking for a highly motivated Housekeeper with a positive "can-do" attitude to join our amazing team.
Our unit is a very busy and demanding but has a friendly warm atmosphere. The ward has been designed to be patient friendly, so patients feel at home whilst they await their discharge plans.
We have an established team who strive to provide an excellent standard of care to all patients. Working closely as a team and deal with the day-to-day pressures with positivity and high levels of energy.
The position would suit a motivated and organised individual with good communication skills, who would enjoy the challenge of a demanding, but rewarding work environment. You will need to be an excellent team player with a committed and professional approach, playing a key role in maintaining a clean and safe environment; You will provide support with basic administration duties, maintenance of stock including ordering & stock rotation and the provision of refreshments to patients.
Previous experience of working in a healthcare setting or working with the public would be desirable although support and training will be given to the successful candidate.

Main duties of the job

Main working hours are Monday-Friday with an expectation to be flexible as required by service needs. Working hours would be between the hours of 8-4pm or 10-6pm to meet the needs of the service.

Qualifications & Education
Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE level
Desirable criteria
- GCSE Maths & English Grade C or above OR level 2 Numeracy skills and level 2 Literacy skills)
Knowledge & Experience
Essential criteria
- Previous experience of working with the public
- Aware of the concept and application of confidentiality
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of working with patients/or in a healthcare setting
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
