All medical and dental staff are expected to comply with appropriate health and safety policies.

You will have responsibility, delegated to you by the consultants, for the training and supervision of staff, including junior medical staff who work with you and you will devote time to this activity on a regular basis.

Although these are not formal training posts, this post will allow you full opportunities for training in a structured fashion similar to recognised training posts, including attending clinics and theatres. Please see the Job description for full details and person specifications.

  •  Promote high professional standards of clinical care of patients and the health and safety of the critical care environment.
  •  Maintain continuing education and professional development.

You will be exposed to clinical governance aspects of the service (for example observational attendance at Coroners Court). Although this is not a formal training post, you will receive close clinical supervision in a supportive learning environment. You will receive educational opportunities and time to develop your interests and Portfolio.
