Do you have a cheery personality and a passion for helping others? We're seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist patients and visitors at the Royal Preston Hospital Information Desk.

As a volunteer, you'll provide clear and concise directions, ensuring that everyone finds their way easily around our bustling hospital. Your friendly assistance will help create a welcoming and positive experience for all.

The Royal Preston Hospital can seem a bit daunting at first, but with your help, we can make each visit smooth and stress-free. If you enjoy making a difference and have a knack for putting smiles on faces, we’d love to have you on our team.

Main duties of the job

To provide patients and visitors at the Information Desk with a warm welcome to the Hospital and ensure they receive the help they need/ require. Your role is to improve people’s overall experience of the hospital

MAIN TASKS

·         To greet patients as they approach the information desk and provide guidance

·         Check patients appointment letters/ forms in order to provide the correct guidance.

·         Locate wheelchairs for patients as required

·         Escort patients to appropriate waiting area for the clinic/ department

·         To be aware of any specific support that patients/ visitors might need i.e. deaf, blind, inability to walk far etc.
