Band 2 Receptionist

Essential Qualifications required:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Customer Care – or equivalent experience

A new and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic person to provide an efficient reception service. This post is based at Woodview, Mitton Road, Whalley.

The successful applicant will provide efficient administrative support and have excellent IT, keyboard and data inputting skills. You will also require strong interpersonal and customer service skills, be able to demonstrate initiative and the ability to organise your workload effectively. 
 
The work is varied, interesting and demanding. Candidates need to be organised, flexible and reliable. We are looking for people who possess the ability to meet the demands of the service, and also to be able to communicate with a wide range of people, including patients and health care professionals.  You will also need to enjoy working as part of a large team, supporting colleagues within the department during busy periods.

Substantive hours will follow a 4 week rolling rota 

The rota for this job post will be

Week 1 Saturday 1pm – 9pm and Sunday 1pm – 9pm
 
Week 2 Tuesday 1pm - 9pm and Friday 1pm – 9pm
 
Week 3 Saturday 7am – 3pm and Sunday 7am – 3pm
 
Week 4 Wednesday 7am – 3pm and Friday 1pm – 9pm

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be organised, professional, committed and will assist in providing a high standard, quality reception service within designated base.

The post holder will have knowledge of relevant customer service procedures applicable to this role.  Problem solving is an integral part of the role. 

The role will involve contact on a daily basis with a wide range of people – both internal and external to the organisation and therefore requires a confident approach. The post holder will need to be a team player with very strong communication skills.

The post holder will work flexibly in response to the needs of the service providing cover to various sites as directed by their line manager to ensure continuity of service provision.
