Job overview

An exciting opportunity as a result of additional investment has arisen for a new post of Children’s First Partnership Hub (CFPH) Safeguarding Administrator to support the CFPH Specialist Safeguarding Nurses.

This is a part-time permanent post working Monday to Friday (although a level of flexibility may be required) and is based predominately at Wigan Life Centre with the co-located multiagency partners within the CFPH.

The post is hosted by WWLTH Think Family Safeguarding Service. The post holder will be required to maintain significant relationships with multi-agency partners including police officers, social workers, education staff and wider health care professionals.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a skilled administrator who will be required to provide effective and confidential administrative support to the CFPH Safeguarding Practitioners and will work as part of a dynamic multi-agency integrated team. Duties will involve prioritising and organising the day-to-day workload while maintaining confidentiality of information throughout the full range of duties involved. The post holder will implement and maintain coherent systems/databases to facilitate the management and analysis of safeguarding processes, using a variety of software programs including Word, Excel, and Patient Systems

The post holder will be required to liaise with staff within and outside the organisation as appropriate and be responsible for the effective communication and distribution of information as appropriate to a wide range of recipients as delegated. The post holder will carry out duties in a confidential and discreet manner.

On-Call

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holder will be an experienced and skilled administrator who will be required to work across the Think Family Safeguarding Service. They will support the Safeguarding Practitioners in the Children’s First Partnership Hub (CFPH) in conjunction with administrative colleagues in the Team, providing comprehensive, efficient, and confidential administrative service and support.

The post holder will support the effective and responsive running of the service provided by the Health Team within the CFPH; this will involve the day-to-day workload whilst maintaining confidentiality of information throughout the full range of duties involved. The post holder will be using a variety of software programs including Word, Excel, and various patient data systems.

The post holder will be required to liaise with staff within and outside the organisation as appropriate, including all professionals within the Think Family Safeguarding Service together with being responsible for the effective communication and distribution of information as appropriate to a wide range of recipients within and outside the organisation as delegated. The post holder will carry out duties in a confidential and discreet manner

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GCE/CSE/GCSE ‘O’ Level Standard Grade 4/C or equivalent
  • Knowledge of administrative systems, patient information systems, office procedures, data input procedures
Desirable criteria
  • IT Qualification
