Job overview
This is new, exciting opportunity to be part of the small but dynamic finance system team at LLR ICB.
This post will lead and co-ordinate the planning, monitoring and reporting of the system financial position encompassing LLR ICB, University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and Leicestershire Partnership Trust. Working with all parties to establish best practice, identify transformational opportunities and deliver efficiencies while working towards the strategic aims of the system.
As the role of the ICB within the system continues to develop so will this role, with opportunities to get involved in work which covers not only the ICB's portfolio but also that of UHL and LPT.
The ICB has an agile working policy, expecting individuals to work from the most appropriate place. The system team currently meets face to face twice a month but this flex's depending on work requirements.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the small system team in LLR ICB.
The post requires a fully qualified accountant, with proven CPD and experience of working at a senior level.
As well as being able to understand and explain the local implications of national guidance to those within and outside the finance profession, the post holder will need to be proactive, organised and flexible to ensure all partners are working together towards the same goals.
The ability to influence people at all levels, regardless of their employing organisation or line management, while maintaining positive relationships, will be key to success in this position.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Line manage the system reporting and planning staff within the function, providing them with guidance, advice and leadership on their areas of work.
Support the Finance Senior manager - Training and Development to provide development opportunities within the ICB and across the system.
Create the ICB and system financial strategy and short, medium and long term business plans and assist with local implementation.
Develop and implement strategies for improving system performance and processes, ensuring stakeholders are represented.
