Head of System Finance

NHS AfC: Band 8c

We take a flexible approach in terms of what we are able to offer. This means we have a variety of working patterns, full or part-time and we actively promote agile working, i.e. working where it’s most appropriate for an individual to perform their role. You will have a base at Glenfield to attend as and when required but for the majority of the time you will be able to work from home. It will be expected that you have a basic homeworking set up in your home to meet the needs of the role i.e. desk/chair.

So why not join our team and help us to deliver better healthcare, both now and in the future!

Working with all parties to establish best practice, identify transformational opportunities and deliver efficiencies while working towards the strategic aims of the system.

As the role of the ICB within the system continues to develop so will this role, with opportunities to get involved in work which covers not only the ICB's portfolio but also that of UHL and LPT.

Main duties of the job

The post requires a fully qualified accountant, with proven CPD and experience of working at a senior level.

As well as being able to understand and explain the local implications of national guidance to those within and outside the finance profession, the post holder will need to be proactive, organised and flexible to ensure all partners are working together towards the same goals.

The ability to influence people at all levels, regardless of their employing organisation or line management, while maintaining positive relationships,  will be key to success in this position.
