Admin Assistant

NHS AfC: Band 2

We are actively promoting flexible working options, helping you to manage a work / life balance

Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a part time admin assistant to join the CHUGGS Clinical Management Team, working in Haematology.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to assist with a number of administrative tasks to assist the existing teams within the department.  Team working is therefore essential in this role but you will also be required to work independently on occasions.

Haematology is a busy service and the team strives to provide the highest quality of patient care which is made possible by the hard work of our admin team working alongside amazing and dedicated nursing & clinical teams.

If you are a highly organized person who would love a challenge and likes to keep busy then this is the perfect role for you.

Main duties of the job

  • To be responsible for filing case-notes back into the file areas in a timely manner ensuring accuracy in the numerical and alphabetical filing systems.

  • To ensure case notes are tracked using the electronic tracking system.

  •  To be the key person for retrieval and collation of notes for audit purposes.

  • To assist with the pulling of case notes for designated clinics

  • To assist in the preparation of clinics under the guidance of the clinic coordinators if required.

  • To assist the admin team in the filing of results and correspondence in case notes.

  • To deliver requests to the imaging department as required

Working for our organisation

Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).

We have four primary goals:

  • high-quality care for all,
  • being a great place to work,
  • partnerships for impact, and
  • research and education excellence

And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.

Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:

  • we are compassionate,
  • we are proud,
  • we are inclusive, and
  • we are one team

This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
