We also care for infants requiring cardiac intervention pre and post-surgery. We are proud to host and run the neonatal homecare community service for the South Hub of East Midlands Neonatal Operational Delivery Network covering Leicester, Northampton and Kettering and we are privileged to host CenTre Neonatal Transport service.
The Leicester Neonatal service, with a bespoke research team, is at the forefront of Neonatal care. Due to providing the full range of neonatal care, your development and career options within our service are endless. We are dedicated to nurturing our team to develop and fulfil their potential as skilled neonatal nurses in the area that interests them most.
We are beginning our journey to expand by an additional 6 intensive care cots, which is the first stage in our reconfiguration plan. The ultimate plan will see a flagship maternity and neonatal hospital built within our current grounds at the Leicester Royal Infirmary providing care to 70 neonatal infants, including 2 unit-based neonatal ECMO cots. We require an enthusiastic, motivated, dynamic and highly skilled neonatal nurse to be part of our welcoming and friendly senior team.

Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).
We have four primary goals:
- high-quality care for all,
- being a great place to work,
- partnerships for impact, and
- research and education excellence
And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.
Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:
- we are compassionate,
- we are proud,
- we are inclusive, and
- we are one team
This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
