Paediatric Physiotherapist
Band 6
We are actively promoting flexible working options, helping you to manage a work / life balance
Job overview
**Rotational Paediatric Physiotherapist**
Full time, up to 37.5hours,
Are you looking for your next challenge? Are you passionate about paediatrics? Perfect - come and join us!
We have an opportunity for a permanent band 6 physiotherapist in our paediatric team. You will join the existing group of rotational band 6’s, who cover Cystic Fibrosis, Outpatients, Inpatients, Children’s Intensive Care and the East Midlands Congenital Heart Centre. The Paediatric team provides services to paediatric intensive care and high dependency units, neo-natal unit, surgical and medical wards, orthopaedics, oncology, neurology, respiratory clinics and the maternity wards, providing optimum care and ensuring delivery of a safe, effective and efficient service.
The Therapy Department provides a seven day rostered service and the successful candidate will work on the weekend, bank holiday and the emergency on-call respiratory physiotherapy service rosters.
Main duties of the job
You will work alongside the established paediatric therapy team, which includes our Clinical Specialists Physiotherapists who work in exciting specialities such as Cystic Fibrosis, Long Term Ventilation, Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia, East Midlands Congenital Heart Centre and Outpatients as well as our new regional services: East Midlands regional Long Covid hub for Children and Young People and CREWS, a tier 3 obesity management service for LLR and Nottinghamshire children and young people with Complications Relating to Excessive Weight Service. You will also work alongside our multidisciplinary teams and our colleagues within the Community Paediatric service.
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Physiotherapist with a desire to expand their paediatric skills and develop their band 6 experience. Your enthusiasm and drive will support our vision to provide an age-appropriate service for children and young people with a focus on outstanding, compassionate clinical care.
Working for our organisation
Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).
We have four primary goals:
- high-quality care for all,
- being a great place to work,
- partnerships for impact, and
- research and education excellence
And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.
Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:
- we are compassionate,
- we are proud,
- we are inclusive, and
- we are one team
This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
