We are actively promoting flexible working options, helping you to manage a work / life balance

Trosolwg o'r swydd

UHL is part way through an exciting transformation journey in Maternity & Neonatal Services, underpinned by the Perinatal Safety Improvement Programme. This multi-disciplinary initiative comprises four workstreams, each aligned to the themes of the National Three-Year Improvement Plan for Maternity and Neonatal Services.

The Trust needs a dynamic, organised and experienced Senior Project Manager to take a lead role in co-ordinating the delivery of multiple projects across the perinatal safety improvement programme, with a particularly focus on the NHS 3 Year Delivery Plan for Maternity and Neonatal Services. Driving Quality Improvement is key to our success, and it is essential that we have systematic and sustainable means of bringing about measurable improvements in the quality and outcomes of care for our women, birthing people, and their families. Working alongside the clinical and operational teams this role will be vital to ensure we carefully implement improvement approached which are evidence based and that we can deliver well-designed, impactful and sustainable solutions that empower and benefit staff and service users alike.

You will join our multi-disciplinary Perinatal Safety Improvement Team. The team has a wide range of skills and experience, delivering high quality improvement projects in conjunction with clinical teams.

We are looking to appoint a person who is experienced in leading and managing quality improvement projects. You will have the ability to interpret complex information, communicating effectively with key stakeholders including service users, multi-disciplinary teams and the senior leadership team. You will have a problem solving approach with a willingness to challenge the status quo. You should have a clinical professional or operational management qualification or equivalent knowledge gained in a health related organisation.

Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).

We have four primary goals:

  • high-quality care for all,
  • being a great place to work,
  • partnerships for impact, and
  • research and education excellence

And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.

Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:

  • we are compassionate,
  • we are proud,
  • we are inclusive, and
  • we are one team

This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
