Job overview
Are you an enthusiastic, motivated and committed pharmacist? If so, we would like you to join Lincolnshire Community Health Services Pharmacy and Medicines Management Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, responsive and innovative pharmacist to join our experienced and expanding team as a Senior Clinical Pharmacist.
Please note this position will not commence before July 2025
Main duties of the job
You will lead, develop and deliver clinical pharmacy service to ensure an optimum, progressive and efficient service that meets demand.
You will need to provide professional advice, support and training on medicines related policies and practice to health professionals in a diverse range of specialist community health services.
You will support the Chief Pharmacist in implementing the Medicines Optimisation Strategy, undertake and develop Quality Improvement projects in line with local and national policies. You will also work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of a safe and effective medication use, promote health education and support public health initiatives.

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Master’s in Pharmacy
- Qualified Pharmacist - Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Diploma in clinical pharmacy
- Independent Prescriber
Desirable criteria
- Management/Leadership qualification
- Training qualification
Skills
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable knowledge of Healthcare Standards incl. relevant Hospital Pharmacy Standards and NICE guidance
- Relevant legislation relating to drugs, medicines, and pharmacy practice
- Demonstrates initiative and enthusiasm to drive forward Pharmacy services
- Demonstrates ability to work autonomously
- Ability to work to a high level of accuracy in professional assessment of prescriptions and interpretation of information – including financial information. Also, when recording clinical information
- Demonstrates competence in using IT computer packages, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email and Intranet, and keyboard skills
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of involvement in successful NHS based business development and growth
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Management experience in an acute/community healthcare organisation including some or all of the following: Workforce Finance/budget Supplies/procurement Performance
- An ability to demonstrate experience at a range of clinical levels and settings within the healthcare environment
- Evidence of active leadership in change management, service modernization and innovation within pharmacy
- Ability to work outside of traditional boundaries
- Experience of developing & delivering training/education
- Evidence of working in multi-disciplinary teams
- Involvement in serious untoward incident investigations and investigations linked to healthcare complaints
