Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Contracts Manager to join our Procurement Team on a permanent basis.
The role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of an effective and comprehensive contract management service, monitoring and reporting on Evidenced Based Interventions and leading on a number provider to provider contracts.
Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Head of Category, you will manage a number of Contracts that link into our Corporate Electronic Patient Record (EPR) project that will support the efficient delivery of the highest quality care to the Trust’s patients.
You will have developed specialist knowledge of procurement and contracts, ideally within the public sector or equivalent, this knowledge must be underpinned by theory & experience.
The post will be full-time and the successful applicant will be based at Beech House, Lincoln. Hybrid remote working could also be an option for the successful applicant. Frequent travel between United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust sites will also be required. The post holder will play a key role in implementing the United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust’s vision & strategy for Procurement, delivering the aspiration to become Best in Class.

United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been granted teaching hospital status, after demonstrating evidence to significant teaching commitment. From now on it will be known as United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Pilgrim Hospital is situated in beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area. It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service.
Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services.
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.
This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire. Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).

Previous Experience
Essential criteria
- Significant working knowledge of Procurement
- Demonstrable Contract Management experience at a senior level.

- Expert knowledge in EU Procurement legislation procedures, procurement and contract management
- Staff management and supervision.
- Experience in engaging with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Desirable criteria
- Demonstrable purchasing and supply, contract management experience at a senior level in the NHS.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to Degree Level or equivalent managerial experience and knowledge
- Full Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS)
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development
- Experience working at a Masters level within a business environment
Desirable criteria
- Recognised business development qualification (e.g. programme or project management)
Specific Requirements
Essential criteria
- Ability to produce clear concise information.
- Able to travel as required to other trust sites, other trusts, and suppliers.
