Job overview

We are looking to for 2x Senior Urgent Care Practitioners to work with our wonderful Spalding Urgent Treatment Centre team, delivering face-to-face consultations. 

We are looking to recruit dynamic individuals with minor illness and minor injury skills (or equivalent experience) who will complement our amazing team.  

 

Main duties of the job

Main duties will be to deliver a 8am-8pm service to the Spalding community. The minor injury service will include seeing, treating, and management of simple fractures and wound closure.

See, treat, manage, discharge, and or refer  patients of all age ranges to other LCHS services or partner services across Lincolnshire

On occasion, you may be required to support other services in the Integrated Urgent and Emergency Care division.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Patients across all age ranges 

See, treat, manage, discharge or refer patients.

Manage minor injury patients

Manage Minor illness patients

Use of PGDS/medication

Team work with Doctors, ACPs, Trainee ACPs, Urgent Care Practitioners, HCSWs, and Receptionists

Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Registered Health Care Professional holding current registration with appropriate regulatory body.
  • Evidence of working to PGDs with advanced knowledge (AHPs)
  • Safeguarding-level 3 or willingness to undertake
  • Minor Injuries level 6/ or 7 or very relevant experience
  • Minor Illness level 6 or relevant experience
Desirable criteria
  • Non-Medical Prescribing qualification

Previous Experience

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of recent and on-going personal development including obvious leadership development
  • 2 years post registration experience in relevant urgent or emergency care settings
Desirable criteria
  • Xray interpretation
  • Wound closure, suturing

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of multi-agency & professional working
  • Basic IT / keyboard skills
Desirable criteria
  • Use of System One electronic records
