Job overview

Work as part of a team within a dedicated speciality/patient group to ensure that all administrative functions for patients from the time of GP referral to the time of discharge are coordinated in line with specific care pathway instructions to facilitate the smooth running of the patients’ journey. Where a patient has multiple specialist needs, assist the patient in coordinating their pathways to reduce multiple appointments across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Cardiology  service at Barnet Hospital, as a Clinical Pathway Navigator.

We are looking for a positive motivated person with an eye for detail to join our team.

The successful candidate is required to be able demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. In particular you should have:

  • Previous experience of working with the public and/or patients in a healthcare environment
  • Experience of interaction with all levels of staff
  • Previous administrative and organisational experience
  • Experience of managing and prioritising own workload and working to deadlines
  • Experience of dealing with non-routine and complex problems
