Oncology Clinical Fellow - Gynae
Full time - 40 hours per week
1 year fixed term
Barnet Hospital and Chase Farm Hospitals
Main duties of the job
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Oncology Fellow post at the Barnet and Chase Farm Hospital sites of the Royal Free Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This post is for a 1-year fixed term (MT05 contract).
Working for our organisation
The post will include working closely with the Oncology Team and supporting the oncology team: clinics, theatre sessions, inpatient oncology reviews, PTL, triaging new referrals, and preparing and participating in the oncology MDT. The successful candidate will be expected to support oncology clinics/theatre sessions/gynaecology cover 1:3 Saturday or Sunday (daytime)

Education & professional Qualifications
Essential criteria
- MBBS
- MRCOG
- MD/PhD
- Benign abdominal surgery ATSM
- Benign gynaecological surgery: hysteroscopy ATSM
- Labour Ward ATSM/equivalent
Desirable criteria
- Entry onto the Specialist Register
- Colposcopy
Experience / Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care in gynaecology
- Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care in obstetrics
- Experience working within a Gynaecological Oncology team
- Experience in outpatient hysteroscopy
Desirable criteria
- Experience in colposcopy
- Experience in gynaecology USS
Skills and aptitudes
Essential criteria
- Ability to work flexibly and communicate within a multidisciplinary team
- A clear understanding of Risk Management and Failsafe
- Involvement in guideline development
- Evidence of participation in clinical audit
- Evidence of involvement in a quality improvement project
Others
Essential criteria
- Member of Medical Defence organisation
