Job overview

Currently there is an exciting opportunity within the NELFT Healthcare Informatics Team for a permanent EPR SystmOne Trainer .The post holder will primarily provide SystmOne training within NELFTs Essex footprint; they will also provide training for all other clinical systems and Microsoft Office used within NELFT as and when required.

This role is part of Clinical Systems Team, reporting to the SystmOne Support Lead. The post holder will be responsible for the identification and analysis of training needs and the development of associated support materials to deliver high quality training courses which meet the requirements of the Organisation and its stakeholders. Training programmes will focus on training and improving the use of SystmOne by all disciplines of staff, and enable healthcare professionals to access, interpret and make better use of available information resources.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust.  All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.  As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.  The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

 

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

 

High Cost Area Supplement

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £1,258 to a maximum of £2,122).

Knowledge, Training, & Experience

Essential criteria
  • Good standard of education to Diploma/ Degree Level or equivalent training/ experience.
  • Experience of working in the NHS.
  • Sound understanding of the clinical usage of EPR systems, covering SystmOne.
  • Experiencing of supporting SystmOne, including basic system administration functions.
  • Experience of delivering SystmOne Training, including best practice use of systems.
  • Excellent IT and Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
Desirable criteria
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in an IT training environment.
  • Sound understanding of the clinical usage of EPR systems, covering of Rio and Orion
  • Experience of delivering Rio and Orion Training, including best practice use of systems.
  • Accredited Trainer Certification.
  • ITIL Foundation Qualification
  • PRINCE II Foundation Level Certification (or Higher).
  • Knowledge of Registration Authority Process from creation to implementation and its policies
