B7 Deputy Step 2 Lead

12 Months Maternity Leave Cover

At Bedfordshire Talking Therapies we aim to ensure that we deliver the care and treatment that we would want for our loved ones. Therefore we are looking for a dedicated and experienced PWP to take on a Deputy Step 2 Lead role for a fixed term 12 months maternity leave cover. 

The Deputy Step 2 lead will work with the Step 2 Lead and Senior PWPs to support the PWP team by providing supervisions and line managements. They will oversee the team to ensure we maintain excellent care to our patients. 

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will work within Bedfordshire Talking Therapies providing support to the PWP team by providing line management and supervision support as well as having oversight of waiting lists and the development of the PWP team.

The post holder will provide case management, clinical skills supervision and line management to the PWP team including the Senior PWPs. 

As PWP’s are expected to operate in a stepped care, high volume environment carrying a significant number of active cases at any one time the post holder will be involved in considering the wellbeing of the PWP team and implementing ways of supporting the team to ensure that there is a good team morale.

Training/Qualification

Essential criteria
  • • Will have undertaken a undergraduate/postgraduate training course to become a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner
  • • Will be registered as a PWP with BABCP or BPS

Experience

Essential criteria
  • • Experience of offering case management supervision
  • • Experience of delivering clinical skills supervision
  • • Experience of line managing staff
  • • Ability to manage own case load and time

Knowledge and Skills

Essential criteria
  • • Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients
  • • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • • Ability to be self-reflective, whilst working with service users, in own personal and professional development and in supervision
