We are seeking a full-time Band 8a Senior Colleague to join our busy and dynamic CAMHS Team In Redbridge. We have a growing and supportive  team, and we are looking for a CAMHS Lead- who is passionate about young people’s mental health and wellbeing to join us in the delivery of high quality and effective CAMHS interventions.

This role requires a post-graduate qualification  who is  registered with the appropriate professional and regulatory bodies (NMC, HCPC, GSW, AFT and UKCP) and has at least two years’ experience in leading complex camhs services (or similar child and adolescent mental health) setting.

The service operates a 9am-5pm Monday -Friday service from the main site in Chadwell Health which is a short walk away from the new TFL Elizabeth Line. We provide access, assessment, treatment following recommended guidance to a growing population of 0–18-year-olds. We work as a fully integrated MDT working alongside and in collaboration with primary care, universal, targeted and specialised MH services, as well as our educational providers and local authority colleagues.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

 

This post involves assessing and treating children and young people who present with moderate to severe mental health difficulties in a community CAMHS setting. The successful candidate will work across the Emotional, Neurodevelopmental, Complex and Conduct pathways, leading and supervising their team and other multi-disciplinary team (MDT) members in the management of these cases. 

The post holder will coordinate and lead on the clinical pathways , as well as working with MDT and multi-agency colleagues to support their clinical practice.

The post holder will receive regular clinical supervision and will be expected to attend and participate in MDT team meetings as well as network meetings of cases on their caseload. They will have a commitment to collaborative working and actively supporting and liaising with other health and social care professionals and partnership agencies as we promote a trauma informed model of practice within the service. CPD opportunities will be available.

The post holder will be part of the CAMHS leadership team, working with other senior clinicians in the team to develop the service and meet the changing needs of a diverse population.

Starting with NELFT  

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.  As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

 

Probationary Period 

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

 

High-Cost Area Supplement

This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735) pro rata for part time staff.

4. To be responsible for organising and prioritising own and others workload in the day-today allocation of work. This will be in conjunction of the treatment pathway intervention.
5. To have organisational knowledge relating to Trust protocols and procedures and adhere 
to them.
6. To be responsible for providing accurate records of information required by the Trust for 
audit purposes.
7. To ensure effective risk management at team level by accident/incident reporting, 
assessing, and controlling risk and ensuring residual risks are added to the Trust register.
