Main duties of the job

This post will be responsible for providing inpatient and outpatient care for patients with general gastroenterology problems as well as endoscopy.  The post-holder will cover the following main areas of work:

- Out-patient general and specialised gastroenterology clinics

- Diagnostic upper and lower GI endoscopy lists, some of which may be training lists

- In-patient gastroenterology patient management on the Sutton site and provide cross cover in Chelsea - being available to review acutely unwell gastroenterology patients and helping with GI bleeds

- Potential supervision of the GI clinical fellow

- Participation in the in-hours GI bleed rota

The post holder will have no route on-call duties other than the in-hours GI bleed cover.

This is a very exciting opportunity for a gastroenterologist to expand their skills in a unique environment where patients receive state of the art cancer care.
