Job overview

We have a great opportunity in Adult Speech and Language Therapy, enabling us to recruit a Band 5/6 Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) wishing to work in our Croydon Adult Community SLT  Service area.  Videofluorosopy training and/or participation in this rota as well as joint work within a supportive team of Speech and Language Therapists.

 The successful candidate will need to demonstrate experience and knowledge in assessment, treatment and management of patients who have acquired communication and swallowing problems following neurological events working primarily in an out-patient setting.

The post holder will be working in the Community base but may be asked to work , reflecting the Integrated care approach to our patients.

 The post holder will receive excellent support from the Service and a firm commitment to continuing professional development. The Speech and Language Therapy Service in Croydon has Reflective Practice groups arranged, regular in-service meetings and a good social support network.

Main duties of the job

Specialist Speech and Language Therapist - Part-time

Band 6  *Band 5 SLT applicants will be considered to work towards Band 6*

 At a Specialist level to assess, diagnose, treat and discharge clients referred with communication and swallowing difficulties

 

To work as a member of the team, to provide an efficient, effective and co-

­ordinated Speech and Language Therapy Service.

  • Registered Member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapist

EXPERIENCE
