Job overview
This role has three main responsibilities, acting as a PA to the deputy Chief pharmacist, managing the health roster system and payroll for the department, and providing the administrative support mainly to the Ealing Hospital Pharmacy department.
Main duties of the job
There will be a requirement to communicate and handle highly complex and extremely sensitive matters such as sickness, performance and staffing issues. tact, diplomacy and empathy are essential in this post.

Educations/Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Secretarial / Administrative qualification e.g., NVQ Level 3/ Good general education up to GCSE Level including English language Grade C or above or equivalent.
- Accurate keyboard skills; typing speed of 50wpm or equivalent experience.
- Advanced computer literacy. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and sourcing web-based information
Desirable criteria
- Educated to A Level or degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
- Qualified in minute taking
Knowledge and experience
Essential criteria
- Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
- Able to undertake confidential work
- Demonstrate knowledge of inputting and retrieving data accurately
- Administrative experience gained in a busy office environment in a complex organisation
- Previous experience of working in a busy office environment in an administrative function
- Experience of working under pressure and to deadlines
Desirable criteria
- Administrative and office experience provided to a Pharmacy department
- NHS experience of working with Senior management teams
