We are looking for HCPC registered Podiatrists to join our community podiatry teams to work on bank.

We have clinics based across the boroughs of Greenwich and Bexley.

The role will include assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of high-risk patients. The postholder will be expected to provide a full range of podiatry range of podiatry treatments to clients in community clinics, client’s home, and care homes. This will include wound dressings, scalpel debridement of nail & soft tissue pathology & care of foot problems resulting from neglect & lack of self-care.

We are looking to recruit podiatrists for our community podiatry teams to work on a bank basis.

The postholder will be part of a highly skilled and motivated team working autonomously but with support of senior clinicians.

You will be working in a community setting providing a high standards of quality clinical care and excellent customer service.

The clinician must have one year of clinical experience post graduation with a proven record of clinical competencies and ongoing CPD.

You will assess, diagnose, develop, and implement personalised care plans for patients with a wide variety of complex clinical needs. You will be expected to plan and manage your own case load, be punctual and reliable. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required for this role.

The community teams provide specialist care in Diabetes and Wound Care, MSK, Podiatric Surgery and nail surgery. 

You will be expected to travel across Greenwich and Bexley to work including home visits. Therefore is it essential that you are a care driver/ owner.

To provide assessment and the full range of podiatry treatments to clients in community and outreach clinics, hospital, client’s home, Health Centres, Care Homes and Day Centres.  This will include wound dressings, scalpel debridement of nail & soft tissue pathology & care of foot problems resulting from neglect & lack of self-care.

To work as an autonomous practitioner, developing & agreeing treatment plans individually with clients. Support from senior staff is provided.

To be responsible for protection of health and wellbeing of all clients. Alert others to concerns where protection may be required for both children and vulnerable adults.

To appropriately refer clients to specialist teams within the department whenever needed (for nail surgery, biomechanical assessment etc.) and appropriately refer clients within primary care, Community or Acute for investigation, diagnosis or treatment.

Dealing sensitively and appropriately with a client caseload with complex health needs, assisting individuals to manage their health needs effectively.

To work within primary, secondary and community care teams to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to improvement of foot pathology.  

Always aiming to achieve with each client maximum independence through self-care and effective client management.
