We have been working together in a Partnership between Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust for some time, with a single Chair and Chief Executive since 2021 and single Executive Team since 2022. We launched our North London Mental Health Partnership Strategy in May 2023 and in July 2023 our Boards agreed that coming together to create one new Trust is best for our service users, our staff and our local communities. Subject to final approvals, we will be formally established as one new Trust on 1 October 2024.

Job overview

An secondment opportunity  to work with the The Enfield Mental Health Division for Adults for 7months has arisen.

We are looking for a positive, reliable and flexible individual to join the team, this role will provide a comprehensive administrative support to the Enfield Senior Service Lead Acute of Adult Services and Enfield Lead of Psychology and Psychological Therapies as well a working with the operational/ senior managers in Enfield.
This post will be based in Chase Building, Chase Farm Hospital.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will have had previous experience in a secretarial/administrative role who has excellent administration skills with knowledge of a range of admin procedures and software as well as
trust policies. They must be confident and competent managing conflicting priorities using their initiative and problem solving skills, with an ability to respond to unexpected demands and work with minimal supervision.

Working for our organisation

The partnership between Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (BEH) and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) is going from strength to strength since it was originally established in 2021 forming the North London Mental Health Partnership.

In order to meet the needs of the new Partnership services you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Enfield and Harringay Trust and Camden and Islington Trust. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.

  • 2 years NHS experience
  • Managing busy workload and conflicting priorities
  • • Handling confidential and sensitive information in accordance with the Data Protection Act
Desirable criteria
  • 2 years NHS experience of working in a mental health setting.

  • Extensive use and knowledge of all Microsoft Office programmes; Outlook, Word, Excel and Publisher.
  • Demonstrate a high standard of telephone liaison, interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
  • Clear communicator with good writing, and telephone skills ensuring accuracy at all times
  • Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands
