We have been working together in a Partnership between Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust for some time, with a single Chair and Chief Executive since 2021 and single Executive Team since 2022. We launched our North London Mental Health Partnership Strategy in May 2023 and in July 2023 our Boards agreed that coming together to create one new Trust is best for our service users, our staff and our local communities. Subject to final approvals, we will be formally established as one new Trust on 1 October 2024.

Job overview

NHS Enfield Talking Therapies is provided by Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust (BEH-MHT), soon to merge with Camden and Islington NHS Trust to form the North London Mental Health NHS Trust. We work closely with Barnet, Camden and Islington Talking Therapies services. 

We provide psychological / psychotherapeutic services to residents with a GP in the borough, over the age of 16.

We are looking for business and operational management support to the senior management team of the service in the delivery of the core business of the service, its performance and smooth operational running. This is a fixed term post for 12 months  to cover the maternity leave of the existing postholder. The post is  would be ideal as a secondment/development opportunity.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will utilise a range of information to help the senior team meet strategic and service priorities, as well as monitoring and reporting on key Talking Therapies performance indicators, and line managing the administration teams.

We are looking for someone with energy, enthusiasm, and a high level of skills and experience. All staff will work as part of a team, receive regular supervision and be able to access a high quality in-house CPD programme.

Working for our organisation

The partnership between Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (BEH) and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) is going from strength to strength since it was originally established in 2021 forming the North London Mental Health Partnership.

In order to meet the needs of the new Partnership services you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Enfield and Harringay Trust and Camden and Islington Trust. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.

Education & Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Degree level education in a relevant subject or equivalent.
  • Project management qualification (Prince2 or MSP).

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Minimum of 2 years of varied office/business environment systems experience.
  • Experience of working in the NHS or similar environment.
  • Experience of prioritising and managing own workload to meet tight deadlines.

Skills, abilities & knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Excellent numerical skills and ability to develop and maintain complex spreadsheets.
  • Able to understand complex budgets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Effort & environment

Essential criteria
  • Ability to concentrate for prolonged periods on detailed statistics and complex calculations.
  • Ability to work in a lively office environment with an unpredictable work pattern and regular interruptions.
  • Travel within local borough and across SE London.
