Job overview

As an Urgent Treatment Centre General Practitioner, you will provide high-quality medical care to patients in urgent treatment settings. You’ll be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of conditions, injuries, and illnesses. The role demands a combination of clinical excellence and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Main duties of the job

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments, and provide follow-up care as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain detailed patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
  • Stay updated with the latest medical procedures and best practices in urgent treatment centre.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

These are the available hours and days that GPs are required to work within the department rota. If there are 2 candidates who are willing to share the hours this will also be considered. 

Mondays - 8am to 6pm, 4pm to 10pm 

Tuesdays - 8am to 6pm, 4pm to 10pm 

Wednesdays - 4pm to 10pm 

Thursdays  - 8am to 4pm, 4pm to 10pm

Fridays - 8am to 6pm, 4pm to 10pm 

Saturdays - 8am to 6pm, 2pm to 10pm

Sundays - 8am to 4pm, 8am to 6pm, 4pm to 10pm

Education & professional Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GMC Licence to Practice
  • Current GP Principle or Non-Principle in UK
  • If a non-principle then currently registered on a PCT Medical Performers List
  • MRCGP

Experience

Desirable criteria
  • 3+ years of experience in Primary Care
  • Previous experience of working in Emergency Department or Urgent Care Centre
