This is an exciting new role heading up an established team with new responsibilities. Sitting in the People Analytics & Systems team at the heart of Homerton Healthcare within the People Directorate this post is a fantastic opportunity to progress your career. We’re looking for someone keen to take on their next challenge in a People department within the NHS. Ideally you have had experience in a recruitment, People Administration or ESR support role and are ready to lead a small and busy team.


We also offer an exciting place to be working in; hybrid working is encouraged, and whilst in the office you will be based in our Corporate and Community Hub, at 6 Orsman Road - an exciting new working space. We have a modern and bright office area with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the canal as well as shared spaces for all building users to make use of including a communal lounge, dining space and roof terrace area.

Main duties of the job

This role covers the transactional ESR and People functions including:

  • ESR support for employees and managers
  • People Administration
  •  Supporting with advice around maternity, paternity and shared parental leave
  • Supporting with annual leave entitlement for our people
  •  Ensuring the new starters are accurately and appropriately entered onto the system
  • Supporting ongoing improvement of the Transactional ESR & People service through the development, management and implementation of e-Forms
  • Working as part of a broader People Team ensuring cross cover within the team and that corporate responsibilities are met.  
  • Delivering a high performing smartcard service

You will be leading a team of three ESR & People Support officers, providing advice and support as well as working across the People Analytical & Systems teams providing cross cover and support to the Analytical and Reporting team.
