We are looking for a candidate to join our Ophthalmology Service based at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust for one year for career break cover. 

To be successful in this role:

- You will be expected to input data on the EPR  patient records system and/or database system and therefore excellent data entry skills are required.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for dynamic and resilient Clinical pathway administrator to support our service.

These are busy and a fast paced role within the Ophthalmology service.  The incoming post holder will need to have good attention to detail, be patient focus and demonstrate the ability to work independently. 

This is a Royal Free hospital based role.

The successful candidate will also be able demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Understands and follows the administrative input required to support the patient’s standard clinical pathways from the time the patient is referred through to discharge.

Coordinates all administrative processes for each patient’s pathway to ensure it is managed smoothly and within agreed time frames.

Ensure all patient demographics and contact details are kept up to date on EPR.

Ensure all appointments are compliant with the Trust Access Policy and national targets. Where appointments are cancelled these should be rebooked within the appropriate time frame to maintain RTT targets and PTL improvements.
