Job overview

This is a one year appointment by the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust
(RFL). This post is available from August 2023 for a period of 12 months. The successful applicant will be exposed to a wide range of all types of ocular motility disorder and appropriate surgery. In addition, training will be provided in neuroophthalmology and adult cataract surgery.

Main duties of the job

There will be wide exposure to paediatric ophthalmology including the management of retinopathy of prematurity and paediatric anterior segment disorders. There will also be the opportunity to attend adult neuro ophthalmology clinics, Botulinum toxin clinics and to perform adult cataract surgery (depending on previous surgical) experience. The
timetable will comprise of 8 direct clinical care sessions and 2 study / admin sessions in a Monday to Friday working week. The post comes with an on-call commitment and will attract an appropriate salary supplement.
