JOIN OUR EXCELLENT FALLS PREVENTION SERVICE
Are you interested in supporting people who are at risk of falling or have fallen in their own home?
Do you have experience working as a physiotherapist/occupational therapist assist?
NELFT BHR Falls Service is the place for you!
You will be working alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists & a Nurse in the BHR Prevention Service. The service aims to provide falls specific rehabilitation for up to twelve weeks in the home or as part of our Falls Education & Exercise Classes in the community.
The service covers Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge. The sucessful candidate will be allocated to work mainly in one of three Boroughs, but will be expected to cover across three Boroughs if needed.
The successful candidate must have a valid UK license and have a car. We have a wide range of training and development opportunities available.

Main duties of the job
Our focus is to make patients less fearful of falling and make them as active as possible. The vision is for people to live well for longer leading more socially active independent lives, reducing admissions to hospital, and enabling access to treatment more quickly.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Integrated Care Assistant who wants to use and develop their Falls skills with older people, in their own home & the community.

- Provide a high standard therapy service to patients
- Support the multi-professional team in the implementation of therapy based Falls specific treatment programmes
- Work effectively in a team environment

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement – London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735 per annum).
