Permanent Full Time role for Administrator Officer- B3 (Sponsorship is not available).

The post holder responsibilities of the team are to support clinical services to manage the daily demand of referrals and to effectively prioritise incoming referrals into urgent and non-urgent.

The  POST HOLDER will be responsible for processing and registering new referrals, booking clinics, updating waiting lists and communicating appointment related information to patients, carers and health professionals. They aim to make effective use of resources, reduce duplication and ensure that referrals are effectively and safely managed through the system. They ensure any urgent needs highlighted to the appropriate clinical services.

Main duties of the job

Receive and manage calls from patients and professionals

Undertake and other administrative duty required

Education/Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Good literacy and numeracy, general education
  • NVQ Admin Level 3 in Administration or Equivalent combination of NVQ2, short courses and experience.
  • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) or equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of inputting to databases, spreadsheets and/or other IT Systems and business applications used in the office environment
  • Experience of working with the public in a customer service role.
  • Team working.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in a health care environment

Skills and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook )
  • Accurate copy typing
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Evidence of excellent organisational skills
  • Able to provide evidence of where you have demonstrated the Trust’s Values and Behaviours
  • Able to demonstrate excellence in Customer Service
  • Able to meet the required IT Skills for the post
