1 POST Brunel-Imperial Teaching Fellow

NORTHWICK PARK HOSPITAL

For UNDERGRADUATES MEDICAL STUDENTS

There is a fantastic job opportunity coming up at Northwick Park Hospital starting, August 2024 for an initial period of 1-2 years (negotiable and extendable subject to performance). Post with responsibility of teaching undergraduates and clinical opportunities if wanted.  The job offers the candidate the opportunity to obtain Certificate in Medical Education. (Requires separate application)

In addition, the successful candidate will get an opportunity to take part in part-time based research and to teach on medical simulation training sessions for Foundation doctors. 

General Medicine post is suitable for doctors who have completed their foundation training F2.

·         To teach on postgraduate courses run on-site

Main duties of the job

Organizational Responsibilities

There will be an organiational role. This will involve helping the undergraduate organiser and DCS on the campus to draw up the medical teaching timetables co-ordinating with the leads and block leads for each module blocks. There may also be involvement in helping to establish a patient database for use in dedicated teaching clinics.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

 The teaching fellow will also be expected to co-ordinate the end of attachment Mock OSCE, Case Assessments & prepare and mark other small tests and help organise the clinical component of the final MBBS if held on the site.  He/she will become an OSCE examiner after suitable training and co-ordinate year 3 final OSCEs on site.
