Job overview

 Fantastic opportunity has arisen for a hardworking and proactive individual to join the Haematology Department at Northwick Park Hospital to deliver administrative service.

This post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management and full bookings, cancelling of outpatient clinics, ensuring that all targets are adhered to and met.

You will need to demonstrate good communication, organisation and prioritisation skills and be able to work on your own initiative under minimal supervisor.

The successful applicant will be a team player, but also able to work individually. You will be a confident and clear communicator possessing excellent computerised data management and verbal reasoning skills. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who can demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy and experience in prioritising workloads.

Main duties of the job

  • Work within the Clinical Support Team to provide a comprehensive clerical support service
  • Responsibility for data entry and maintenance of database systems.
  • Assists in the organisation of workload management - word processing, distributing and filing etc.
  • Liaison with clinical and admin staff both within and outside the department.
  • Contact with patients and other relevant external agencies & extensive contact with GP's patients and other relevant external agencies.
