Job overview
You will be based on the unit where you will have a unique opportunity to work with different disciplines and will gain experience in goal setting and interdisciplinary rehabilitation. You will need to be an effective team player, have good organisational skills and be committed to providing a high standard of therapeutic intervention. You will have the ability to work autonomously but also as part of a multi-disciplinary team, liaising closely with therapists, nurses and doctors.

There are strong links with the trust dietetic department for professional supervision and CPD, and cover during periods of absence. The successful candidate will be involved in student training and be pro-active in the training and education of other members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team. There is emphasis on personal development through appraisal, post-graduate support, research and audit.
The Regional Hyper-Acute Rehabilitation Unit is a 24 bed unit and one of five of London’s Level 1 specialist neuro-rehabilitation services. It provides hyper-acute and post-acute, complex, specialised, in-patient rehabilitation, primarily for working age adults with severe complex neuro-disability. |
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a skilled and innovative Dietitian with experience of working in nutrition support and weight management. You will be working with patients requiring oral and enteral nutritional support, transitional feeding, weight and diabetic management and will be involved in ethical decisions regarding quality of life in implementing nutrition support.
