Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Physiotherapist within Havering Intermediate Care team
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Band 6 Physiotherapist with an to work as part of the multidisciplinary team .
The service is a forward-thinking and innovative service that is community based and works in a fully integrated way, district nurses , occupational therapists, nurses and community matrons all working side by side to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to the care of people accessing our service.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside and attend training with nursing and therapy colleagues within a large multi disciplinary team, offering valued, challenging and rewarding role within the team.
Main duties of the job
You will be expected to carry out clinical visits to patients in their own homes and care homes delivering physiotherapy interventions to the population.
The successful applicant must be flexible, a good team worker, used to working under pressure, have excellent interpersonal and IT skills and be able to communicate effectively with patients, carers and other members of the MDT.
You will be supported with continuing professional development and will be supported to undertake training such as Non Medical Prescribing .

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement – London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary. (with a minimum of £4,551 to a maximum of £5,735).
The role will require the candidate to work across Havering visiting patients in the community, as such the candidate must have a valid UK license and have a car.

Qualification
Essential criteria
- Recognised Physiotherapy Qualification
- Member of the Health Professionals Council
Desirable criteria
- Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- Post graduate qualification (MSc Degree) in relevant field
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge and skill in a variety of physical heath conditons including stroke / neuro-rehabilitation
Experience
Essential criteria
- 24 months post registration experience as a Physiotherapist in a relevant clinical setting in the NHS
- Experience in community adult community and rehab
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary / integrated Team
Skill
Essential criteria
- Basic awareness of IT and IT skills
- Ability to keep accurate and legible notes
