We are looking for someone who is an enthusiastic and committed professional with the passion and drive to provide the highest quality care for patient with orthopaedic presentations condition .

7 East  ward at Royals Free Hospital is a 27 bedded ward, it is a fantastic area to work and develop your nursing skills, in relation to  Acute Orthopaedic presentations. You will be able to develop various skills to look after patients with bony injuries and also elderly patients with dementia and delirium, post operatively, along with clinical skills like wound management, palliative care and holistic care. 

We are a supportive and friendly team that works together to provide the best care we can for our patients and to develop our staff to be excellent nurses. 

The ward is known as being very friendly and supportive and we enjoy our daily work. It is our belief that nursing staff will act as the patients advocate working towards providing best practice according to the individual's need. We believe that care is best provided in a warm and friendly atmosphere, where each person keeps their identity and independence and where confidentiality is respected. We aim to provide high quality holistic care on an individual basis.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for the unsupervised assessment of patient care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of plans of care, ensuring high standards of evidence based care using a defined model of care in acute set up on 7 East Ward.

Undertake all nursing procedures in accordance with Trust policies and ensure that these procedures and policies are understood and adhered to by all staff, within own management responsibility.
