We are seeking a Specialist Grade Doctor in Community Child Health and Neurodisability.
You will be joining an enthusiastic, friendly and dynamic Team, who are open to change and innovation. The job is based at the Child Development centre on the Hillingdon Hospital site. This role combines the competencies of neurodevelopmental paediatrics and child protection.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop further experience in Community Paediatrics. The post holder is expected to work independently, and supervision and support will be provided. The post holder will have the opportunity to lead on their own special interests that complement other interests in the department.
Applicants must have at least 4 years experience in Paediatrics, and be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC), UK.

Main duties of the job
The post holder is expected to be autonomously and as part of the multidisciplinary team. The post holder will be a GMC registered with at least 4 years post graduate training including training and experience in paediatrics, and being able to demonstrate specific skills to work in community paediatric service. The post holder will be part of a dynamic and experienced community paediatric team which provides a full range of community paediatric services in children 0-19 years of age. The post holder will be expected to have experience in a wide range of community paediatrics. The post holder will have competence in assessment, diagnosis and management in child development, disability, behavioural, social and educational paediatrics. The post holder will work closely with other paediatric colleagues to provide safeguarding, (including child protection and Looked after children) and neuro disability services. The level of responsibility and delegated duties will depend on previous experience, and the post holder will have a supervising Consultant Paediatrician. The postholder will be accountable to the Lead Clinician and Clinical Director.
This post is a full time post with 10 Programmed Activities with 2 SPAs. Applicants wishing to work less than full time can also apply for this post. This postholder will be based at the Child Development Centre,Woodland centre, Hillingdon Hospital.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Working within a multidisciplinary team in child development centre assessment and follow up care for children with neurodevelopmental disorders and comorbidities.
Delivering Paediatric clinics in local special schools within Hillingdon.
EHCP assessment clinics and looked after children clinics.
Covering for Child protection medical assessments (excluding sexual abuse) 9:00 – 5:00 service.
Accurate and timely documentation of clinic consultations and care plan.
To work to the agreed job plan and provide safe effective service and achieve departmental KPIs.
Act as an autonomous, registered practitioner who is legally and professionally accountable for own unsupervised actions guided by the professional code of conduct and Trust guidelines and protocols.

Education and Qualifications
Essential criteria
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
Desirable criteria
- MRCPCH or equivalent
- Higher degree e.g. MSc, MD or other higher Degree.
- DCH, DCCH, MBA or other relevant diplomas
Training
Essential criteria
- 6 years postgraduate training or equivalent, including 4 years in Paediatrics (or demonstrate equivalent experience and competences)
Desirable criteria
- Experience in Community Paediatrics
- Experience / Training in developmental assessments
- Experience in other areas related to child health, such as general practice, mental health
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
